Following the huge success of its recently opened store at St. David’s Shopping Centre, SOHO Coffee Co. is opening a second Cardiff outlet, in the heart of the newly refurbished Capitol Centre.
The new store officially opens on the 9th of November, and will be easy to spot, thanks to its bright purple walls and silver shop front, a trademark across SOHO’s growing UK chain. Its positioning next to the staircase, on the Capitol Centre’s ground floor, will make SOHO the perfect halfway pit stop for jaded shoppers.
The SOHO Coffee Co. experience is the passion of directors Penny Manuel and Chris Copner, formerly of the Compass Group. Together they have developed an ethos that depends on traditional, high-quality products, organic & Fairtrade coffee and healthy, freshly prepared food.
While the business is ethically aware, SOHO is far from niche, and the store branding reflects this. You won’t find earthy colours and overt environmental statements, just a cool, contemporary setting for customers to enjoy, as director, Penny Manuel comments:
“We are an ethical, environmentally-aware company but we avoid the ‘earthy and organic’ stereotypes out there. Instead we deliver what our customers want, good quality food in fresh in contemporary surroundings from an environmentally-aware company.”
